Rock Roxx

i can see it LOL.

Sign of the gypsy queen.

My 10th concert was Australia's Renee Geyer, whom I saw at Brisbane's Her Majesty's Theatre (same venue as I saw Melanie).

This was 1977 but I am unsure of the date.

Here's a couple of her songs, "Say I Love You" from 1981

and "Heading In The Right Direction"

I heard this young lady for the first time last night on The Graham Norton Show, although she has been around for 3 or 4 years.

This is Griff, live, with "19th Hour"

I will be listening to some more of her work.

Enjoy and

My 11th concert was Joe Cocker at Festival Hall Brisbane 6th July 1977.

Sadly, it was during one of his numerous substance abuse periods, and he was so drunk (or other substance/s) that he could only last one hour and 15 minutes, which was a half the time I regarded as a good concert by a professional.

Delta Lady many of you may recognise

but this other one, N'oubliez Jamais, I only heard a couple of years ago, this from Cologne in 2013, the year before he passed away.

I had a great deal of time for Joe. Loved his voice and the passion that ensued from it.

After Cocker got his big break by covering The Beatles' With A Little Help From My Friends, which went to number one in the UK in 1968, the Fab Four sent him a telegram of congratulation.

The Sheffield-born star later recalled how Sir Paul McCartney once told him his rendition was "clearly the definitive version of the song".

Meanwhile, R&B legend Ray Charles was said to have described Cocker as one of the three best blues singers in the world - along with Aretha Franklin and Marvin Gaye.

Compliments like that show the respect Cocker commanded for his vocal prowess.

Oh, don't get me wrong, lol.

I adored his music.

Sadly, at the concert I saw him at, he could could barely stand up, even "With A Little Help From My Friends".

I was sad when he died.

My 12th concert was 10cc at Festival Hall on 5 September 1977.

Another wonderful, professional performance.

Here's a couple.
