Post screenshots of the games you play on GNU/Linux

There are many. Check out "roguelike" in Wikipedia.
started playing one named Gloamvault a few days ago - its still rough around the edges but it's got some good replayability

I enjoy playing dress-up in Cyberpunk 2077, I have added so many mods to my game, the vast majority of which are clothing mods! ;)

Posing with Johnny with my favorite vehicle out of all the ones (200+ so far) that I have added into the game, the Pagani Huayra Tempesta!

I spent the last few days tweaking my .ini (engine) settings, my custom ReShade preset, and my in-game settings, for Cyberpunk 2077, and I am pretty happy with the results!

Using Nova LUT 3 and Nova City 2, with Raytracing set to Ultra (at an astonishingly playable 60-70 FPS in City Center of all places, one of the most intense areas of the game)!

Linux Gaming has come a long way over the years for sure!

I haven't made any screenshots but I made a video.

Playing Against the Storm, this game is special because it takes months to complete it.
gameplay is very good, overwhelmingly positive steam reviews are deserved for sure.

Tired of Against the Storm, started building a massive factory in Factorio.
I'm still noob at this game, some people build truly massive and complex factories from what I see, and it takes great deal of practice.

And the base with all mining outposts from top view connected by rails and trains:

The base and outposts are heavily armored ofc. to deal with alien invasion trying to destroy your bases due to polution.

I discovered Rail route a while ago but it dint impress me, now I tried again to play more seriously and this game is great, it requires good organizational skills to schedule trains on time, bigger your rail network is the more complex gamepleay becomes:

I don't have good screenshots yet because my rail network is small for now but there are good screenshots on steam.

Heh... I was an active member of a private section (paid) on another website. (They still exist, actually.)

As a participant and relatively bored, I joined in on the Wordle game. Every day we'd do the NYT's Wordle with the goal being the longest winning streak and/or the longest playing streak. I'm almost ashamed to admit that I once neared 100 days of playing and having a winning streak not too far below that.

Yes, yes, I did invest that time every day for that long. To be fair, I've wasted more time than that on other things.

I had one of the longest winning streaks, but not the longest. I was nowhere near the longest consistency record. Some of them were already a few years into it, and there was no way I could catch up to them short of finding a way to prevent them from playing the game.

I'll digress for a moment...

Also, I use a tool called 'Grammarly'. I've used it for quite a while. Every Monday, they ship me some boilerplate, an ad, and some statistics. I generally use a wider variety of rules than 95% of all the other users. I'm also more productive than a good portion. They give me extra stats about things like the tone of my writing. Oddly, my most common mistake is not putting a comma in the right place. Othertimes, it's too many '..." instead of actual elipsis. The thing is, I don't always agree with it when it says I missed a comma. It's just poorly understanding what I wrote! It gets a few things wrong, but it has otherwise improved my writing.

My point of that last paragraph is that I usually do well with word games. I have a pretty wide vocabulary, which is useful for more than just games. I'm sure the Grammarly browser extension is collecting all sorts of data about me. Meh... I only use it in one browser (this one). Hmm... I also used to do the crossword puzzle, but I haven't done one of those in years.

If you want to play Wordle every day at NYT, this is the URL you're looking for:

They're sometimes a bit clever. It is the NYT, after all.

Bah I hate commas. I use them only in certain cases.

By pure happenstance, you're the very first recipient of the new 'like'. If you look carefully, you'll notice the 'like' is different.

That's right! I finally got bored and learned how to add a 'ike' (reaction) with an emoji.

You can also type :wine-glass: :wine-glass but that was done by accident. Amusingly, I've only had a glass of wine, and I'm just now working on a second glass.

So, you got the first 'wine' like. I'm pretty sure that means you're now a national hero. They'll be throwing parades in your honor. They'll probably name a street after you! If you're lucky, they might even name a library after you!

Anyhow, I use commas. I try to write well enough to not annoy those more adept with grammar. Pardon the terminology, but I actually like a good 'grammar nazi', because they're teaching me something. While I've done a lot of writing in my life, including at the academic level, my writing has always been able to be improved.

I write well enough already, but this lets me write even better. When I joined this forum, I did not use Grammarly. So, that's a good indicator that I can write well enough to be understood -- even without assistance.

I also absolutely love spellcheck.

If you want a very simple way to not look like you're uneducated while you're in front of educated people, try this:

Never write a word that you've never seen in print. Never say a word that you've never heard spoken.

Well, I guess that's two rules. One of my professors turned me onto that rule. I follow it. It means I'm less likely to appear like I'm a moron. That's a good thing.

Anyhow, let's not digress too much.

But, you're the first person to be bestowed with the 'wine glass' reaction.

A toast to that. :O)

I learned this from the mistake of others. Insecurity make people use words no one uses or ever heard of. Not a good look. This rule would apply to many other things than vocabulary. K.I.S.S. Keep it simple silly (stupid). Good rule to follow. Anyway don't mean to get off topic. Back to Linux games.

I played this a year ago for a little bit:

To all these people looking for the lightest distro... Ha, I'm looking for the heaviest distro! I think I found it.
