I am not into RHEL or it's clones, but from keeping up with various press article , Rocky is becoming well respected and so popular
I looked into it this AM after reading up on this post. Definitely going to check it out for studies sakes for sure though. I admire the fact that it's dedicated to a co-creator as well; very respectable.I am not into RHEL or it's clones, but from keeping up with various press article , Rocky is becoming well respected and so popular
No, Oracle tends screw you over with their licensing. Not being familiar with RHEL systems outside of my studies; I'm intrigued. Is Oracle like the Microsoft of Linux Distro's or something?

There's also Slackware... the oldest Linux distribution still in use.Truth be told, there are only 3 distro's. Arch, RHEL, and Debian. Everything else , for the most part, is just a fork of the 3 from my understanding.

I built a Vanilla Debian system for my 90 some year old grandmother that cant even figure out her android phone; and she seemingly has done very well with what little documentation I was able to draw up to guide her through her system. She's only called me twice in the past yearYou are getting closer to the three year mark, though that's a pretty obvious statement. After all, the arrow of time only moves in one direction. So, you're also getting closer to the 10 year mark.
You can learn a lot by reading the various posts and from helping people. It's often said that you know a subject well when you can explain it to someone who has no previous knowledge of the subject.
