Hi guys,

CachyOs linux distro is great for my notebook, but i have struggle with one thing.

Ambient Light sensor (ALS) not works for me. I Want to use screen brightness adjustment depends on ALS.

‘cat /sys/bus/iio/devices/iio:device0/in_illuminance_raw’ return always 0.

One courious thing is that On LiveUsb Installator demo, when i open terminal and read in_illuminance_raw then it returns proper values (e.g 200, 300 seems it works). But Installed version never works. I have tested various linux distro and this feature never works.

Did you guys have any idea how to make it works?

My notebook is ASUS nx500jka.

Thanks!

i dont have such service.
'Failed to disable unit: Unit wluma.service does not exist'
Anyway sensor read not works even if i disable this feature (Auto-screen-brightness) in Plasma environment.
Im wonder why it works on live-usb demo.

Have a look here if you are running KDE Plasma desktop

I could be way off the mark, but it sounds like missing firmware to me....

(shrug...)
