I'll be posting some organized sounds here now and then if I don't remember it wrong.

All of you users can also share your favorite videogame music here on this thread!

(so this Mario Kart 8/8 deluxe soundtrack is special for me because it has like a special tune to it, you know?)

It makes me feel calm, and also happy for some reason

I hope you guys like it as much as I do

i dont really like BGM i always turn it off but i grow op with commodore 64/128 and Nintendo and Sega so those are the sound i remeber best when it comes to game music

Here's another one...

Imagine: warriors all alone in the forest, walking towards the unknown, fighting for what's right, defeat the evil creatures, they might!

*that's something I can take out of this upbeat melodies

also, I love kirby. I have played this game but never got to end it hehehe :)

Wow! I have never listened music for games made for the commodore 64

That's very interesting.

Especially the first one that sounds on this video, it's pretty sublime!!!!!

I like it!!!!

I personally like the music from the 80's as well (more specifically: super mario 1 nes, megaman 2)

and for 16-bit games I'll mention: sonic 2 sega genesis and super mario world snes

Interstate 76 -->
(music starts on chapter 3)

game overview --> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstate_'76

played this a bunch in the late 90s & had a ripped cd of the soundtrack to jam out to for driving around for years.

I personally play games while listening to the soundtrack of other games or even any music I desire at that moment

:)

so, this is another soundtrack I would like to share with y'all:

it's very fun but I recommend you to listen to it carefully as it is kinda like a rollercoaster of emotions at this point and so, If we ask ourselves ' why music is so powerful in modern society ' welp? I think you actually might find that answer on this soundtrack,

hope you like it!

cheers!

My favourite game audio tracks have to be from Xonotic.....the offspring of AlienTrap's 2005 masterpiece, "Nexuiz".

The intro track - "Rising of the Phoenix" :-

...and the main melée / bunnyhopping accompaniment - "GoGetEm" :-

And finally, the soundtrack to Xonotic's 2005 "parent", Nexuiz itself :-

Not in-yer-face stuff, by any means.....but to me, it's some of the sweetest game audio I've come across.

Each to their own, huh? (shrug...)

Favorite music... not so much. But I do love these two introes, these have always been my favorites, though not for the music.

But if I have to mention favorite music from a game, then... this playlist would be my favorite cuz I listen to it most often: "Saints Row The Third". No videoclips going with these, sorry.

One of my all time favorite video game soundtracks is from Little Big Planet

Another that's made it's way into my regular playlist is the soundtrack from the 2016 remake of Doom.

It's a little on the heavy side but it's good to play while I work in the shop. You know welding metal and heavy metal...

I like classical video games music too!!!!

If I'm not mistaken, most of those games music where 8-bit back then (I guess 16-bit games were relevant on the 90s I don't know)
1. All of the games before 2006 are now classics too. :)
2. You're not mistaken. "Carmageddon 1" was 8-bit and could be ran only on MS-DOS (or DOSBOX nowadays). "Carmageddon 2" supported 8-bit but had 16-bit textures as well and most of the time it was running as 16-bit. It would run at 8-bit only if you didn't have 3DFX installed. The 64x48x8 directory is for 16-bit textures. I know the name suggests otherwise but I've talked to some of the devs and they said it was a mistake that the devs in 1996 made (the game was released in 1997). But it was easier to keep the dir name than rewriting and recompiling the game anew just to fix a typo.

Yes, I still have "Carmageddon 2" and still play it sometimes. As a matter of fact, I have a lot on that game. :D

and this one it's just superb!

I like the beat on this one. It's like futuristic, disco-techno, EDM. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

this one gives you a chill sunset from the old west:

Yeeehaw!

all of them were AWESOME!

specially this one you first mentioned:

(this is my favorite out of the 3 you shared)

for me, this song has like a vibe of the old pc flash games, it's so nostalgic

I also looked up the gameplay on youtube and it looks sick! I wish played it back then, haha!

Hey, that's neat! My first introduction to the Need for Speed franchise was with that game in specific (need for speed hot pursuit 2). I remember that my uncle gave me a Playstation 2 (the fat one) and it came with many games including the legendary GTA: SA. I was very little at that time (around 7 to 8 or 9 years old approximately if I'm not mistaken). And I didn't like most or any of the games my uncle gave me as their were to serious, gore and mature for my age. So I asked my parents to get me a different kind of game and they gave me need for speed... and the rest was history.

I also like the intro of that game, I hardly ever skipped it!

==============================================

speaking about Need for Speed Underground, I haven't played the first one, I have only played the sequel. The video you shared about it it's very interesting, I think I have never watched it before, I have only watched a few gameplays on youtube.

from nfs underground 2 I like this soundtrack, it's chill but stay with the SWAG and it's pretty cool!

Old Need for Speed games used to have very very good soundtracks in my opinion I remember that I listened to almost all of them while playing the game several times. It was a blast.

and about Saints Row The Third ; I like the song that you have selected on the screenshot, it's sound nice!

I also check the gameplay online to get to know the game better. And it looks similar to GTA but different, it's cool!

Diversity is one of the blessing we have on this world!
