[SOLVED] My computer freezes when I use a USB drive boot and I can't reinstall Ubuntu

Hello,

The problem iwas finally solved by a change of RAM! (Thanks aug774). What is stranged is I had run memtest86 which had detected no error.
Apparently Corsair RAM (I had 2x 8GB DDR4) sometimes causes problems with Linux (when everything works fine with Windows).
It was changed by a company specialized in Linux which uses Crucial or Kingston.
It works fine with Ubuntu 20.04.3 now.

I had some success with this previous RAM with Manjaro and MX though...

Thanks to all for your help.

Glad it's now working. That's strange with the Ram. Enjoy!

Thanks for that, I have never used Corsair so never come across the problem, now on my list of things to look out for.

Weird...

I've used Corsair RAM without issue in the past. I'd be curious about the results of a memtest.
