I've been trying multiple distros for the past month or so and I've never had the problems I'm having with Mint installing my printer. I've tried Zorin OS, MXLinux, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and Kbuntu. I didn't have any issues with my printer being recognized on any of them but Mint refuses to recognize it no matter what I do. All I get are CUPS error msgs everytime I try to install the printer. Even IPP Everywhere doesn't work even though it claims to have drivers for the printer. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this I'd really appreciate it. Here is what I have on my computer. It's an 11 yrs old Dell XPS 8900 with a 2 TB HDD and 48 gigs of DDR4 ram. It was my work computer until I retired.
