Hello everybody :)

Sorry if I'm posting this thread in the wrong section but please hear me out

I love this forum but there is a significant issue regarding the theme: there is no dark mode, which is a pain for my eyes (and I guess for some of you as well).

Admins please, if you read this post, take it as a request for adding a dark mode to this Forum. That would be awesome!

There is dark mode.

Scroll down to the bottom. More. To the bottomesterest. There is a style chooser there:

This is how the forum looks in dark:

Nice one, Gabe :)

Just clarifying that. The link at the bottom left will have "Default Style" and its Smart Tip has "Style Chooser", when you click it you get the options.

I am removing the Poll.

Cheers

Thank god, but what an odd place to find the setting!

Install something like "Dark Reader" and the whole internet has a dark mode. (It will make some sites difficult to view, but you can disable it for specific sites - which then scald your eyeballs 'cause the rest of the 'net was dark.)

Firefox has extensions which provide a dark mode, one being "Dark Background and Light Text". It has been reliable for me and is configurable. Another option is to use the command (having installed xcalib):
Code:
xcalib -i -a
This inverts the colours comprehensively on the screen, but the xcalib program can be used to achieve various other purposes. To resume original colours one runs the same command again. It works on X. Dunno about wayland.

I use it ofc but it doesn't work properly on some websites. For example, I couldn't see highlighted text on this forum

Yeah, it sucks for some sites. I have it on for this site, plus the dark theme is enabled. That seems to work for me.

Dark Reader works for me, has for many years.

Especially when I'm in a dark room...

Man, I hate when I have to disable it for a site. That site scalds my eyeballs like the fire from a thousand stars.

Yeah, I know what you mean. When I have to disable it : it's down right blinding!:(
