Hello everyone i'am Peter52 and have just joined Linux.org forum.
I am at the moment running MX-23.6 and really do think that it's one of the best distro's out there for an old guy like myself lol.
Looking forward to meeting new people and learning a lot from knowlegable user's in the forums.

As i keep saying, what is best for me, or any other member may not be right for you, only you can decide, You have chosen a distribution that leans towards business use and out of the box is considered a little more secure than some others, and is Rock solid, should you have problems, then that is what we do.
Welcome to the forums

ps.what part of the world to you hail from?

even though the sun only shines twice a year
bore da.

The world is your oyster, with over 600 desktop Linux, there are plenty to choose from

you could try a heavyweight such as Ubuntu or Mint 22, or a medium weight [like your MX] so Parrot HOME edition, Mint LMDE, Peppermint, Debian stable with driver pack, or you could go even lighter with say Anti-x, Bunsen Labs, Linux Lite, or even try off the wall something like one of the many breads of Puppy [puppy is not usually installed to HD but run from a pen-drive in Ram]
