  • The moment you realize that you'd rather use your Virtual Machine as daily driver instead of the bare metal host OS, you know you've done something right!

The moment you realize that you can run completely from ram and save whatever you need to removable media without using or having any installed hdd / ssd than you're doing it right imo. ;)

Alright, you got me there. ;)
Anyone else having trouble with the latest Ubuntu Installer? Awfully wonky at the moment.

I'm having issues installing Ubuntu 24.04 LTS on my pc. I even bought a new flash drive and still gives me errors. I had no problem with 22.04 installation in the past.

Same here sort of. Tried to install an Ubuntu based distro (24.04 LTS indeed). Failed after numerous attempts. VM, full install, USB install nothing worked. The installer just kept collapsing. Did manage install Ubuntu Mate after hours of wasted time. Trick was to NOT update the installer when prompted during install and just go ahead with the process.
I've been exploring EasyOS on my laptop the past week and you know what? It's awsome. Will keep Parrot Home on my workstation, tho. I meant to have a secure laptop OS for a while and ran Puppies on it. Then I found Puli but I can't be bothered by it's (unnecessary) complexity and EasyOS does all the things I was looking for.

At the end of the day, it really makes no difference WHAT you run. As long as you're comfortable with it, and can do everything you need to while running it, it's no business of anybody else's what you get up to.

So long as you're happy, that's all that really matters.
Fiddling with custom firejail profiles and comparing the behavior of the application. A great way to learn and to get familiar with it. Great way to pick up some extra knowledge.
