Hello there,
maybe one of you has had this problem and knows how to solve it.
After installation PopOs 21.10 there is no sound and microphone.

Output device: Dummy output

After adding these two lines to `/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf` sound works. However, the microphone does not work.

options snd-hda-intel model=generic
options snd-hda-intel dmic_detect=0

Output device: Speakers - Built-in Audio
Input device: There is no any input device

Sure.

inxi -A
Audio:
Device-1: Intel Cannon Lake PCH cAVS driver: snd_hda_intel
Device-2: NVIDIA TU106 High Definition Audio driver: snd_hda_intel
Sound Server-1: ALSA v: k5.16.11-76051611-generic running: yes
Sound Server-2: PulseAudio v: 15.0 running: yes
Sound Server-3: PipeWire v: 0.3.32 running: yes

why have you got 3 sound servers running?
pulse has known problems on some HP laptops , the usual fix is to remove it and replace with ALSA

removed pulse packages. Reverted changes for alsa-base.conf.

I would try getting rid of pipewire as well,

Your original question said ubuntu.. are you using PopOs? that make's it a total different problem

OK Pop is a pain in the rear if it works out if the box fine, if not you could be searching for an answer for a long time,
so I now suggest you re-install everything, then go back to your first post and edit the title to include Pop OS, Hopefully one of our members may have had a similar problem, but there are not many running Pop
and sorry the usual ubuntu fix won't work for you

Okay. Thank you for response.
BTW I've just added these two lines back and sound is working again. But microphone does not work.
