I dual booted Ubuntu 24.04 LTS on my HP ProBook alongside Windows and Grub keeps failing(sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't) whenever I try to boot the windows manager through it. I want to know how I can fix this issue cuz it's kinda annoying that I have to go through my BIOS settings to boot.

if your machine was made for Windows 10/11 check and disable if found, windows quick-start [usually in the UEFI under power management]

That's fast boot, no? Yeah, I just disabled it. I thought I actually disabled that in my windows settings. Does this mean that there's not gonna be any more issues?

Your machine is not on my bench, so i cannot guarantee anything, what I can say is if it now works as expected, and you have Windows 11 beware of updates, as some will at some point re-activate quick start [fast-boot]

It kinda works now, thank you. But I use Windows 10. And I'm not sure if I can still update to Windows 11 at this point. I plan to slowly switch using network connection from Windows to Ubuntu. You got any helpful tips on your bench?

Yesterday the final issue of Windows 10 updates were made, MS has also been working hard to block all the back doors to install Windows 11,
my advice would be to install Ubuntu [or any distribution that works well on your machine] either to your main drive in a dual boot or to a separate drive in a multi boot, and use it as much as possible for your daily tasks, you will probably find that by doing this you will gradually drift away from the need of windows
