So about 5 months ago I decided to dual boot my machine with the intention of making the switch to Linux (specifically Bazzite). I wanted Fedora-based and immutable due to reliability. I did hit some issues which I documented earlier, however, everything is running amazingly well now! I am so glad I switched! I only boot into Windows to use Ableton (DAW) because Ableton doesn't have a Linux version and I have spent over 20 years learning Ableton and my "sound" is so tied to Ableton. There are other DAWs that run on Linux but I am so entrenched in Ableton it's not practical to switch. Bazzite has been amazing. Not a single crash. It's incredibly reliable and everything just works all the time.

I have a question. Right now, my machine is dual booted with Windows and Bazzite (Grub). Windows is on the 1st drive and Bazzite on the 2nd physical drive. I need to re-install Windows because the current version is just corrupt beyond repair. I have tried everything to fix it. I am afraid to reload Windows because I fear the dual boot will be corrupted or screwed up somehow.

If I go into Windows and use the recovery tools to run a fresh install of WIndows on the same partition, will it have any effect on the dual boot partitions? And if it does, is there a way to fix it?

Thank you in advance.

I suggest to unplug 2nd physical drive just in case when reinstalling windows.

I would say more than likely, reinstalling windows and some upgrades are known to re-install Fast boot and quick start [so quick-start will need disabling again,] Often it will mess with your boot manager so you may need to repair it.

Question, have you tried running Ableton (DAW) in either wine [or bottles] or in a VM

ok so just run a quick test using Bottles, it looks like Ableton (DAW) will run so i suggest before you plough ahead with windows, you try it yourself, If its not set up already Bottles should be in the software manager, install bottles, go to the Ableton (DAW) download site and well download the Windows app, when its finished it will be a zip file, double click and use the extracted , when its finished you will have an entry in your download folder for Ableton (DAW) exe, open bottles, make a new bottle and install Ableton to it

not sure if you are using a laptop or desktop pc. if it is a laptop then follow the directions given by those in here.

if it is a desktop then STOP!!. I already have a little info out there on the best way to dual and triple boot desktops...
