I always woke up with a screaming headache on my days off

Oddly, I've never had any ill effects from not having coffee. I drink anywhere from 24 oz to 36 oz on a given day, though I may sometimes drink none.

As for restaurants, I have a commercial Bunn coffee maker in my kitchen for when I'm still entertaining large groups of people in the morning. After retiring and moving here, it was common for me to entertain large groups of people.

It's just a smaller Bunn, with just one percolator and one warming plate on top. I picked it because there would always be at least one guest who knew how to use it, thus reducing my efforts. It sits beside a six-range commercial stove on which I would make breakfast for said group of people.

I typically use a French Press to make my coffee. The coffee maker is only used when there are a bunch of people here, which is a lot less common than it once was. (It was used this past weekend.) I've calmed down a lot and am now married. I no longer do things like bring everybody home with me when the bar closes.

I just have one 32 oz in the morning and I''m set for the day.

@kibasnowpaw :-

I came across this article a few years ago, in Psychology Today. I've hung onto it, because it's one of the best evaluations of the entire "furry" genre that I've ever found.....and it's completely non-judgemental.

That bit about Americans growing up with Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, along with "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" & 'Zootopia', etc, is SO true, yeah?

I've always thought you could probably include A.A.Milne's "Toad of Toad Hall" in the same general category, too.....

I've never had a problem with "differences". All helps to keep this dirtball of ours merrily spinning, doesn't it?

(shrug...)

These days, I use a Melita pour-over cone. I was just toying with the idea of disposing of the 12 cup drip machine as I haven't used it in years. The spare human uses a Keurig machine but I prefer the pour-over - for one thing, the Keurig won't make a 12 oz cuppa as its "large" is 10 oz. What kind of sissy calls ten ounces a "large" coffee?
