Hey everyone. So I'm back to using Mint Cinnamon after trying and not loving Fedora and Ubuntu Gnome. I've swapped back and fourth between Ubuntu Gnome and Mint Cinnamon and then tried the newest Fedora 44 w/Gnome over the last week or so and after playing around with each, I definitely feel like Mint Cinnamon is the easier/better to use DE. Gnome does have some really nice looking visual features that I love. Comes already setup with the "Show All Apps" feature/applet just like a Mac has. Has nice work flow switching stock. But the problem is, I want to modify how the environment looks a lot. I have a very specific look in my mind and the whole point of using Linux is for me to be able to setup my environment exactly how I want it. I messed around with Kubuntu a few years ago and loved how you could edit almost everything. But it felt just a bit slow. Whereas Mint just zooms around and feels snappy and clean and can be edited almost as much.

Anyways, point is, I'm not new to editing or ricing a DE (but I'm also not an intermediate or expert, I know just enough to do what I need to do in order to setup my DE to look how I like). I've almost never had any problems until now. I'm experiencing this SUPER annoying problem I can not figure out even after google searching it. I do have experience installing countless Cursors, Icon themes, GTK themes, lock screens, boot menus, etc etc etc. Not once have I encountered a major problem I can't fix on my own by googling or just checking my own work. Until now.

I'm installing Vince Liuice's WhiteSur gtk theme in the Dark Nord option. I JUST installed it a few days ago. Then wanted to try Gnome 50 on Ubuntu, wiped the drive and played with that for a few days and didn't end up loving it. Then wiped the drive and installed Mint again and now I'm running into this problem where when I try to add the Options in, it keeps giving me an Error. So the options meaning:

Usage: ./install.sh [OPTIONS...]
Options (click to open)

OPTIONS:
-d, --dest DIR
Set destination directory. Default is '/home/[USER_NAME]/.themes'

-n, --name NAME
Set theme name. Default is 'WhiteSur'

-o, --opacity [normal|solid]
Set theme opacity variants. Repeatable. Default is all variants

-c, --color [light|dark]
Set theme color variants. Repeatable. Default is all variants

And so on and so fourth. LOTS of options (I'm just showing your the first 4, there's tons more and don't need to show them all). And I've never had a problem doing this in Terminal and it always works. Until last night. I'm getting this stupid error now and can not figure out why it's happening or how to fix it. I literally even deleted Mint again, clean installed again and went through the entire setup process again and it STILL is giving me the same error. And before you ask, yes, I update and upgrade my system and reboot every time before I try to install anything.

So the weird thing is, the theme installs. And I can chose it and turn it on the System Settings. But then I can't then go into Terminal after and start adding the options in like I should be able to. And like I have been able to do in the past. And NOTHING changed on my computer from when this worked a few days ago until now.
