trixie... xfce

...which is debian "bullseye"

interesting

you know, I like old things (specially if it has the iOS 6 skeuomorphism like art-style)

are you gonna keep using after it "dies" this august or you plan on using the sid version of debian instead? or maybe debian 12 bookworm?

I thought of using debian 11 just to play with the debian administrators handbook (which apparently only has an edition for debian 11) I know that's not true, and pretty much all the commands and all the things that you can do as an administrator on debian 11 you can perfectly do it on debian 12, 13 and so on and so forth (if not, do even more due to the new features that each version brings).

But I instead came to use Debian 13 since it's the latest version available.

*I also like to be up to date, so I chose trixie over bullseye

But I could... maybe try bullseye just for fun, before august 31st that is

nice

this is my current desktop so far...

I've been running the Mate DE on Debian since Debian was 11. Zero problems-:)
Of course the theme and the icons are custom in my screenshots. My vision isn't what it used to be as I had to go get them and install them.

That's also nice

Looks pretty sick!

Your background looks like an AI rendition that's a mix of Konigsegg, McLaren, and Pagani.

If it's a real car, I don't immediately recognize it. Though that'd be true for a lot of cars. There are too many to possibly know all of them.

I was about to ask if this was an Ai generated image of a hypercar...

Nice Konigsegg!

Yes. It looks like a futuristic version of the Regara RS

KDE is becoming bloated and more and more complicated, fast.

that's a pity

I loved the KDE from fedora 43 kde edition gnu/linux distro tough

I was staring to distro hop at that moment so after a few days I moved back to debian or I think it was windows 10 (I don't remember)

for me it's distro hopping season over for now

is this the Koenigsegg car?
It may be as their is a resemblance. I'm not 100% sure.
It looks like one of the cars from the game CyberPunk 2077:-

Yeah it does.
I did a Google image search and it revealed that the car on my desktop background is a Koenigsegg Agera. The one in the link below is the Agera RS.

It's not an Agera. It looks similar, but it's not. Google lied to you.

Look at the back of an Agera RS (or plain Agera). It's not correct and is missing the fairly traditional Koenigsegg exhaust. The exhaust is more like something you'll see on a McLaren, while the rest of the back kind of looks like it was influenced by a Huayra. The side profile is very heavily influenced by a Koenigsegg.

It doesn't match any car completely -- that I can think of. But, I can say with certainty that it's not an Agera RS. Well, someone could have hacked it to pieces, moved the exhaust 18" higher (and changed the shape), and then completely redid the back -- including lights and rear quarter panel molding.

@Rocketing-warp9 don't worry though, I have no intentions on going back to Windows NT what so ever.

I mostly confortable with the universal os so far

It's a very stable gnu/linux distribution (debian 13 trixie)

@Fymgee It's alrighty! I put the sad face because I also use plasma.. and am noticing the same things between installs :(

Anyway, I am Glad that you are enjoying Debian!

It's sad, because I used to run plasma on 4 Gig hardware often. And it was alright! (Albeit a little slow still0

where are you getting 31 august? "bullseye" could go eol even sooner.

it's my choice. although one where i have to keep offline.

in another thread i said:

i hate debian "trixie".

this is true. only to be able to go online. will i care about anything later than "bookworm". next year i will have to replace one linux os i've been regularly using. to "forky" when that becomes stable. (cringe)

where's the clock?! but you don't need to know what time it is? i envy you. if you could wear a watch.
Well, the thing is I have sort of a computer-internet addiction and so I don't like to see when it's time to go to sleep

What I do is that I set up an alarm on my phone instead and I also disabled the clock on my computer desktop panel so I don't get the anxiety of (oh no! I going to sleep in five minutes, I better get prepared to turn off the pc so I don't stay awake to late)

lol

ok, so... I have changed some other things here and there

for instance, I removed the bottom panel, as I find it pretty much unnecesary to use it because I can access to all my programs from the whisker menu

I'm also a fanboy of Debian so I renamed the whisker menu with the text I saw on debian .org

And I also asked chat gpt to generate this wallpaper because I got bored of the solid color I was using at the moment haha!
