It'd probably go under the Server Linux section. I know I've run servers/setups at home for a long time and recently bought a new 'mini-pc' to play with..

Some topics i'd imagine in there:
  • Obviously photos of different setups!
  • NAS topics/questions
  • home automation
  • various hypervisors
  • Setting up ssl on a home network
  • port forwarding
  • 'homepage' dashboards
  • grafana, prometheus..
  • media servers (plex, jellyfin)
  • tunnels.. cloudflare, tailscale vpn
  • nvr (security cams) .. frigate, zoneminder.. rtsp issues..
  • game servers!

It's not all Linux related, but.. kinda is.

As I'm indifferent, I voted 'whatever'. That was largely based on the novelty of voting 'whatever'.

As it stands, I don't see too many questions. But I also like the idea of growth. So, there's a chance that adding the section will increase traffic and questions.

"If you build it, they will come." (That's not even remotely true, but folks will likely get the reference.)

I listed the topics/subjects that I have seen at some stage, in the past few years, appearing here at Linux.org

Not a huge quantity, but there are people, who if they get the info that help is available here, will pay a visit.

That's a Yes from me.

Not an area I am interested in, but if it increases foot fall, then why not.
