idk if the image is gonna be too big or if there are any rules about images but here is this (did it recently to show it off to my friends, so it's not like i would just have all those random apps up normally) (is it weird that my second post is this) (is this too many parentheses aaaaa)

are any rules about images

So long as it doesn't complain about the size, you're generally all good.

Obviously, we don't accept adult images, images depicting real-world violence, gore, or anything like that. That sort of content will get you an instant ban and that should go without saying.

This? This is just fine. You're all good.

@liquid_mercury :-

In my case, I don't post images as attachments. Instead, I use an image-hosting site (for me, that's PostImages.org; others like to use Imgur.com), then 'link' from that. They're versatile, too; upload just the once, then link anywhere you want, as often as you like.

That way, you're only limited by whatever size the image-hosting provider sets as your maximum.....and it doesn't use any of this site's bandwidth.

Same with my signature, below.....which was assembled in the GIMP (including the embedded GIF).

Ya might like to take a look at these (for a laugh). Knocked together by a guy name of Felix Rieseberg, they're pre-built, Electron-based 'emulators' of Windows95 & Mac OS 8.....written entirely in Javascript.

Great fun, if you've a spare half-hour to waste.....and very realistic, too. Win95 even has working internet, and will let you interact with the "old" internet, of which there's still a surprising amount out there. No modern sites, though; the TLS/SSL stuff is just too old.

Links to downloads are over on the right side of the page.

I've no idea if you ever tracked it down, Chris - I'm too lazy to read through this entire thread! - but that default wallpaper from Tahrpup64 6.0.5:-

.....is from the Eyri National Park in Snowdonia, located in North Wales here in the UK.

Google reverse image search gives me this:-

I've been meaning to trace it for years, but somehow I just never seemed to get around to it.

Now ya know. I guessed it was somewhere round this neck of the woods, since a lot of shots of the Scottish glens & lochs are quite visually similar.

Ta Mike! I slipped into Wales by mistake in 1988. On the Bristol Ring Road I missed the turnoff to Cornwall and went over The Severn Bridge. A story for another time and place, lol.
