Hi ~~ AmethystAngel here. I'm new to Linux {Zorin OS 18} and don't even know where to begin searching in the forum. I've watched soooooo many videos on YT and, as a result, was able to put Z on my old Win 10 laptop. Now I'm reviewing a dual-boot installation or virtual machine with Z on my Win 11 laptop. QUESTION ~~ Can someone be so kind as to direct me to tutorials that have details on the various open-source apps for fonts (I love the Edwardian Script in MS because I do calligraphy) and where to find info for using desktop apps that aren't compatible with Linux. I use LOGOS Bible software on my Win desktop. That's the only reason I want to dual boot, so I can have access to that.

As for programs,
You might be able to run this in WINE, a compatibility layer for Win on linux. You'd have to check on the website to see if it has been supported (Or if it even works right- It can be a little unstable in some cases)

Otherwise- you usually can find substitutes on the Software center. (Ex- LibreOffice for A MS office Replacement)
I have not fiddled around with fonts that much, but I do know some can be downloaded from the Center as well.
I just have no idea on how to incorporate them, however

PS- Please Keep Backups often. Timeshift is the usual Recommended program for backups.
It'll save you one day if things go sour.

I use LOGOS Bible software on my Win desktop. That's the only reason I want to dual boot, so I can have access to that.

This may be worth looking at, as it sounds like you could have it running through wine with this project.

Welcome to the Linux.org forum, enjoy!
I've used Logos in the past. But have settled on Linux compatible Bible study tools now.
There is a group trying to port it to Linux they have a forum here.

But other than that you best bet is most likely running Windows in a VM.
