Solved I can't connect my quest 3 to my pc via cable/wire

I just got the cable to connect my quest 3 to my pc but it had so many apps to connect and i tried them all but it still doesn't work.

I tried doing the meta quest link from meta themselves I could not make it work with [Wine] or [Bottles] i've tried looking it up but there's no linux version. if there is a place i could get that i can solve this on my own otherwise im stumped.

There is one thing I noticed with the apps that i've tried they don't recognize my quest 3? i used ALVR and it lists my vr as "unknown"
its the same with trying to do the link option in the vr itself. it won't link/connect even though I left it on for an hour thinking it's probably just taking its time even with the wifi air link it wouldn't connect.

VR doesn't really have good support on Linux at this point. You can have a look here though.

You may have to install Windows in a virtual machine in order to run that. It's not hard, I have Win11 installed in a VM, and I keep looking for something to use it for, but so far I've been unsuccessful. I just do updates and shut it down every now and then.
