My desktop is a dell 8940 with a 10th gen i7, 128gb of ram, a 2070 super and a bunch of drives etc. I am wondering about Nvidia support for my graphics card and video editing software. Will it all work for my intended purpose?

Nvidia is well supported provided you ensure the appropriate drivers are installed and modules loaded. Ive run RTX 2060-4090 without issue. This said, I run AMD CPU architecture, and an observation I've made over the years is that Intel/Nvidia users always seem to run into problems. Im not sure why, just a general observation. I'd suggest reading the article linked above if you want to ensure optimal performance. Your distribution is irrelevant, the process is identical, and the resource unbeatable.

Perfect. Thanks. I may switch to AMD/Radeon for my desktop if I decide to move 100 percent to Zorin. As I understand they have much better overall support for linux.

I've never used Zorin before, but on the web I've read, in the past, strange posts about Zorin user's systems sending out pings and/or telemetry to the mothership. Something I'd inquire about further if you're seriously into Zorin, IMO.

Edit: Oh, and as a frustrated NVidia user, please, please move to AMD. Most of my new systems are AMD, I've suffered too much as an Intel/NVidia/nouveau user. Never again! :D

Edit: Although I'd rather choose something other than Intel/AMD for systems I care about/go online with. Why? Here:

They've got you by the.... neck, to put it nicely.

I take the mothership stuff with a huge grain of salt. Does not bother me. As for the intel / nvidia, Its what I have right now so I have to make it work somehow.
