Hello other Linux users. I am a new to this forum (I hope this goes well) I hope to have useful interactions here. (5 mo of Linux use right now) I also have an old book on UNIX systems.
Well there you have it. It says right on the cover that it's "Up-to-Date".
I found an excerpt of that online at the internet archive (archive.org) and it does seem a bit dated. I'm sure the bits on shell usage and scripting are worth a look but the actual content wasn't available in what I was looking at. I'll bet you can find more applicable and current books (for free, online). As a caveat, many of the modern online books aren't worth the paper they're printed on although, in their defense, many of them were never intended to be printed on actual paper.
