Brother Printer issues

I'm desperate as all get out now, Any printer I try to install gets the same error message of waiting for printer to become available. I've tried Brother, Canon & Epson. How do I go about removing any trace of any printer? Or would I be better off just reloading Linux all together? I'm neither in the mood to try another brand printer, or going back to Windows. Now that I get this error no matter what, I'm convinced it's some software error.

Here's what I have:

I'm convinced it's some software error.
If you are having problems on 3 different printers that use different drivers, then the fault must either be
a bad connection
a corrupt installation of the Distribution
error in setting up the print controllers

with any one of them connected and switched on, run $ lpstat -p -d and paste back the results, it may show where the problem lies.

I will do, and Thank You

I am using a Canon IP7200 with CUPS. No driver I am sure- driverless; cups-filters 1.28.17. Several years ago I bought this - sure I didn't install any driver but instead ppd files. Something for you?

I get same message on 3 different printer brands, I really think there's a glitch in Linux somewhere. But Thanks
