Rock Roxx

I think Australia's Billy Thorpe wrote this track with me in mind.

^^^^^^ that heart is for you....also the song.

My late wife Elaine used to know Billy (before my time with her).

He was a Brisbane lad and lived near her folks.

Elaine had 3 brothers-in-law - Barrie, Barry and Terry, all guitarists playing in bands. Billy used to come over to her folks garage and jam with the boys.

Wish I could have been there.

Australian Idol ran initially from 2003 - 2009, and then a long break until it was revived in 2023.

I have watched all of it, and I have seldom been impressed more than by the young lady, Kesha, who won the 2026 series a few days ago.

Here are a couple of her efforts. Hope you enjoy.

OK, here's another of Chris's - Sailing (I blame you for this, Alex, lol)

That one Brian shared is an interesting one, because it was written not just by Chris himself.

"Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)" was written by a team of four: Christopher Cross, Burt Bacharach, Carole Bayer Sager, and Peter Allen. The 1981 hit, from the movie Arthur, won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and was famously co-written to feature the line "When you get caught between the moon and New York City".

That one just had "Hit" written across it from the get go.

This may be helpful for those posting url's from youtube to here,.... and when clicked on, the url does take you to youtube but not to the intended song.....

Firefox browsers add on :

This only has 350 (approx) users, but there is very little asked for in the way of permissions.

Works well for me in Firefox, Librewolf, etc

This rotten thing worked a few times and then FAILED.

I started a topic: https://www.linux.org/threads/how-to-copy-paste-a-video-etc-from-youtube-to-wherever-you-like.65639/

....showing how to copy/paste a video from youtube that actually WORKS.

I feel like a bit of Gerry Rafferty...Baker Street.

Yeah, I almost bought a fastback Baracuda just like that one, Many moons ago (late 70's). Almost... I still Kick myself for not doing it. Water under the bridge, eh mate?:)
Yup, water under the bridge. Don't beat yourself up about it.

Ya never know bro the door may open so you can purchase one in the future at a better price.

Seeing as this started with Pink Floyd, and I just Spotify Shuffled into this album, I'll share Blood Incantation's Absolute Elsewhere. Specifically, The Stargate, because it's got a dope video. I love continuous albums.

Please note that this is death metal that uses some progressive, space, and psychedelic rock elements. I think it's my favorite album.

And... the song from this album that comes on Spotify and I think it's Pink Floyd when I'm inactively listening (at 1:33)...

Meh... Why not?

This is a couple of other people and myself covering Guns N Roses' song "Patience":

I belong to a private forum where we exchange music we've made every week, particularly on Friday nights. Well, I strive for Friday nights but that's a night of the week that's not always possible 'cause people do things on Friday night. (Before the pandemic I was still actively performing. I haven't done so in a while and I'm feeling the itch again.)

The name of the file won't make sense to people here. It makes sense elsewhere. "B" is the missus, covering the rhythm guitar. "J" is a lady friend who plays everything from keys to violin - and is on bass in this recording. "TB" is me, playing Slash's bits for this rendition.
Would love to join the Group if possible? Love my Rock Music
