A neighbour of mine has exactly that Chevy Silverado pickup with 5.7L V8, but it's gasoline, not diesel. When I hear the gurgling of that gasoline V8, I forget my name. It does a better job at wakin' me up than the alarm clock on my smartphone. :D :D
Sadly the "early 1979" Oldsmobile diesel (which mine was) was a converted 350 CID gasoline engine. The later 1979 diesel engines were actually build as diesels - My dad had one of those in a big station wagon ("Custom Cruiser", I think) and got about 250 thousand miles on it, which was unheard of for an American made car in those days. I replaced (what was left of) my diesel engine with a gasoline powered 350 but I kept the oversized starter and alternator and dual batteries and drove the car for a couple more years.

We (me and parent) actually have a 86 Cutlass supreme, but it's a 307ci Gas motor. Needs to be restored, but we both wanna stick an olds 403 with butler performance parts on it. Keep the outside stock besides switching it from steelies to the olds rally wheels. We wanna make a sleeper outa it.

Trying out a new wallpaper. Same conky display, same jwm layout, same icon bar on the left edge. The background is "Dolly, as a werewolf" thanks to duck.ai.

It got the eyes and the ears right, and only two ears (which grok.ai couldn't seem to grasp!). It made the fangs and the claws a little sharper and the fur looks like she could use a bath (which is realistic, but not in the photo I provided!). So I guess a Cardigan Welsh Corgi really -is- just a little werewolf. Who'd have thought it?

This is Devuan 6 (Excalibur) with customized Xfce desktop (including "Gartoon" icons). Even on modest hardware it soars, unencumbered with needless one-size-fits-all stuff and the resource-hogging One-Ring-to-Rule-Them-All software that Must Not be Mentioned.

'Tis true! Even APT may require systemd in future releases. It will be harder and harder to avoid. But the news about Flatpak may encourage more developers or supporters to create apt and rpm respositories for their projects.

I hope so, but i don't think it will happen

Nothing much, recently switched from gnome 50 to niri and not intending to look back, not that I had problems with gnome, mind you I used it for a year without trouble. But sometimes you need a breath of fresh air and niri is exactly what I was needing!
