if we are still talking dell N4050, then it has an I3/5 2nd gen which will defiantly be UEFI
Boot into the bios and check under boot settings if there is UEFI boot available. How can I know?

Thx, Mom's boss donate it to me. Is it that rare?BTW-Nice black Macbook! don't see much of them anymore.
I think it is for both of em!If you want to put Linux on it- just make sure it is x32 or x64. If it is just a "Core"duo, it is x32. If it is a "Core2Duo" it is x64. It should help narrow down a distro for you.
Alrighty then!I think it is for both of em!
Copy that, homie! Lemme fetch a usb drive.IF you can't use that, Send another message and I will try to find something on my MBP that works better. ( I also run on my 2009 MBP). I hope this Help
If it says early 2006 it is x32.
any date after that it is X64
as I said before I have a late 2006 core 2 duo on my bench [i was going to ditc i beforechrismas but due to weater we have not been down the tip] is it a 64 bit CPU Yes, is it a 64 bit machine NO the motherboard is 32 bit onlyif is a core 2 duo, it should be X64
There can be x64 CPU on 32 bit mobo?is it a 64 bit CPU Yes, is it a 64 bit machine NO the motherboard is 32 bit only
CA this was common practice on budget machines from around 2004 to 2010 [I have had several Acer's and a couple of other brands through the workshop over the last 20 years when I get an old box I am not familiar with I first try booting a live Debian stable 64 bit, if that doesn't work I will try MX-32 bit [I have older versions on DVD for machines that cannot be USB booted] I then use inxi -M to get the MB make and part number , then if necessary start searchingWhat is 32 bit motherboard? this is quite new to me, well I know too little about hardware stuff.
How do I tell if my mobo is 64 bit or 32 bit?
