Linux Ready Phones?

Hi all

I've been thinking of buying a Linux ready mobile phone (in in the UK) for security reasons. Are they really secure against spyware, tracking, etc, or is that wishful thinking?

If they are more secure than apple, samsung, google, etc, which would you recommend, is there a popular go-to phone? For example, I've been watching the Brax phone videos, and the Jolla Community 2 European phones, and they all seem good. But honestly, I've only had Linux on my pc for eight days, so when it comes to all things Linux (especially phones), I'm pretty much clueless. Any advice is appreciated.
