Hi at all

I'm new to this forum, I've been using kali linux for a few years with Gnome -classic as a working environment after the last update when I log in I get a black screen and after a few minutes this error message appears, can anyone help me solve the problem? I've tried various attempts including uninstalling gnome-core and reinstalling it but without success.
Thank you:)

Hello @Renzo66
I can't be of much help to you as I run neither Kali or gnome here but want to welcome you to the forum.
I'm sure someone will be along with help soon.
If I had to guess I would say somehow your gnome-shell has been damaged or deleted. But that is just a guess.

Thanks for the reply,

actually the problem is if I select gnome-classic in the login window, if instead I select only gnome I can log in
Did Kali move to Wayland?

I think it is possible move to Wayland with KDE but I am running gnome with X11
