Yup, Pentium T4200.Welcome, would this be an intel twin-core T series? if so any distribution you like, I can't help with Android emulators as I have never felt the need to pollute my Linux.
There have been experiments for the last 10 years to port Android to the Linux kernel, but I am not up-to-date with how far they have got.
As suspected, similar to my 2010 dell Lapp [running Mint LMDE] hint you will find it runs quicker with an SSD rather than the original plate spinner [if you don't already have one]Yup, Pentium T4200.
Thanks for helpI have Xubuntu with Virtualbox installed so android-x86 runs in a virtual machine. The few android apps I use seem to work OK for cheap WiFi cameras and Hive IOT devices. No need for other apps but Google Play works.
Got you. ThanksAs suspected, similar to my 2010 dell Lapp [running Mint LMDE] hint you will find it runs quicker with an SSD rather than the original plate spinner [if you don't already have one]
Linux has sufficient browsers and messenger apps to choke a horse.I've read a lot of information about emulators and now I'm thinking about the lightest of them. Because the main reason is to use the laptop for simple work in browser and messengers.
