I forgot to mention (I was in a rush earlier) that there's also WAMP for Windows users.

In that case, it's Windows, Apache, MySQL/MariaDB, and PHP.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe the original was WAMP and that the P stood for Perl.

Also, the term was in use long before they made software to install and configure them all automatically/easily. The 'LAMP' stack existed long before these applications.
