Solved Trouble booting Linux mint cinnamon 22.1

Solved issue
The other possibility s is the video card what video card is in your machine?

Found this searching that series of motherboards had something called ASMedia 1061 or similar that also must be turned off for it to boot a live linux usb.

The other computer is a Lenovo office PC, and nothing is damaged in neither of them, I'm sure of it.
Logically, there is damage or at the very least corruption of some description somewhere.
I tried that and same result, didn't work on my PC but worked on another one.

At least that tells you the usb stick is ok and the stick is able to boot.

So,,,,Asus motherboard
Try the usb slot closest to the place where the power lead plugs in on the back of the tower

Reset the bios to default

What partition size do you have allocated for this install

Run Boot Repair on the Asus pc. It can be installed on a usb stick....Live...it is an .iso file

The problem most likely is a bad or corrupt ISO...did you run the checksum on the ISO before you tried to install it. ?

I've been running Mint Cinnamon for 10 years and I've never had problems with the ISO till now. 4 out of 5 ISOs I downloaded would not install in Virtualbox because they failed the checksum test.

Linux Mint is a very good Distro but it does have problems...so always run the checksum test...then install it in Virtualbox to test it because it's too late if you install it on your computer and always backup your System first...good luck.

I reset the BIOS to default and it seemed to be booting fine. I also replaced a faulty hard drive. Thanks for the help.
