Logically, there is damage or at the very least corruption of some description somewhere. The other computer is a Lenovo office PC, and nothing is damaged in neither of them, I'm sure of it.
I tried that and same result, didn't work on my PC but worked on another one.
I reset the BIOS to default and it seemed to be booting fine. I also replaced a faulty hard drive. Thanks for the help.Logically, there is damage or at the very least corruption of some description somewhere.
At least that tells you the usb stick is ok and the stick is able to boot.
So,,,,Asus motherboard
Try the usb slot closest to the place where the power lead plugs in on the back of the tower
Reset the bios to default
What partition size do you have allocated for this install
Run Boot Repair on the Asus pc. It can be installed on a usb stick....Live...it is an .iso file
