If you get into refining permissions, this can be a pretty handy tool to have in your Linux toolbox. It isn't all that difficult, though you should be aware of a couple of other commands along the way. User management can be great way to keep things isolated, granting access to only trusted users. Most regular desktop Linux users won't have much need for this one, but it's still nice to know.
