Linux is a multi-user environment and that means you can create new users.

Anyhow, you can add users. There are any number of reasons why you might want to add users. Fortunately, this is easy enough to do. You won't even have to install any new software. All the tools you need will be available in pretty much every Linux-device you'll interact with at that level. I'm sure some embedded systems don't allow this sort of thing, but you're not likely to interact with those at this level. Kudos to you if you do, but they like to lock that stuff down.
