Just click on format disk....tat is all you need to do

If the disc was mounted you would not be able to format it

By comparing what I see on the 125 GB USB,

It looks like it's not mounted.

In the meantime, look in the menu for gparted......see if it has changed its mind about seeing this drive

Is that drive really 20 TB????
(18.45 because they usually report smaller than advertised)

Or 18 thousand TB?????

I'd also recommend to stop trying to put a label on the drive... leave it blank.

I am beginning to get a really bad feeling about that drive
