Share Hard Drive using SAMBA

I have seen lots of examples to share a directory using samba, no problem
What I want to do is to share a 2nd hard drive without specifying a directory
Is it possible to share an entire drive or do I have to specify a directory on that drive?

I think you have to share a folder but the root or main drive folder can be shared which is the same thing as sharing the entire drive.
That is how I have been doing it for many years.

Remember that when you mount the drive it is mounted in a folder on the system that is doing the share. So share that mount point.
