Consolidated and updated issues Here
PRIOR TO Linux....
I haven't been using Linux long enough, to know how to do these things or which are actually something to be concerned about.
So here are my questions
I'm experiencing a couple of other issues but this seems to be the best one to start with.

PRIOR TO Linux....
- I would run a system cleaner (CCleaner) to remove all the cookies in persistent storage, browsing history... Even though Firefox is supposed to delete everything when I close the browser that doesn't actually happen.
- Force-stop unnecessary processes and apps running in the back ground.
- Clean up registry errors, disk defrag and clean up.
- Set delays of some apps on start up so things won't get so slow
I haven't been using Linux long enough, to know how to do these things or which are actually something to be concerned about.
- I use Flatsweep, but it doesn't seem to be helping speed things up.
- I don't know how to find out what programs are running but shouldn't be or how to force them to stop.
- I'm particularly suspicious of Zoom! I don't have a choice in the matter.
So here are my questions
- What can I use to clean up my system more thoroughly?
- How can I see what processes are running? (In that other OS it was called 'Task Manager')
- How can I keep certain apps from running on startup?
- How can I force them to stop?
- What else might be causing slow start up?

- Put Zoom in a VM
- It's a resource hog!
- What is going on with my network settings when I use my VPN??
