I just found in some old backups my longest lasting wallpaper, I used it for years, I thought to share it and backup it also in here. Unfortunately it is old CRT aspect ratio and don't appear full size in modern screens, but is an exceptional image worth having in your collections

It might be worth a shot trying out one of the A.I. bots out there. A few of those can do some pretty neat stuff with lower resolutions and what have ya.

It's not what you think. This is not a "message". It’s just that this desktop (wallpaper) evoked “great” cosmic sensations for me. And I wanted to show how beautiful it is.
Your topic has most likely already been merged into this because I have no idea what you are talking about.

Linux Mint with Liquorix kernel.... The best!

8 MB was the max a 386 CPU could handle [I wasnt that lucky mine only had 4]

EDIT
you got me at it now.. the standard early I386 machines could only handle a maxx of 4mb of ram the later ones would take up to 8 mb

This mobo can take 32megs of ram on board. 386DXs can address 4gigs of ram and 386SXs 16meg ... I bought 4 1meg 30pinn sipps for my original 286/16 mobo. My current Zenith 286LP Plus has 8megs on it's mobo.

Has it been modified ? I remember upgrading a 386 to a 486 by use of an evergreen CPU upgrade, that took 16mb max

Nope! Manufactured with that capacity of max ram in mind. The original owner was a surveyer , system has a IIT maths co-processor, using Dos software and the original hdd a SCSI 100meg affair. Definitely a high end system at the time/1989.

Sounds like a special build, all the 386's I had across my bench in the past, never saw one that would take that much ram,

I have posted a contrasting desktop. I prefer working with a busy desktop
