Crikey, not another Senior (@ShowMeRon you are 4 weeks older than I) ... I suspect we are going to take over the world, or at least the Linux world? o_O

Welcome to linux.org, several of us run PCLOS so either we can learn from you, or you from us, or both ... a 2-way street :D

Thanks for sharing :)

OK, seeing as we're starting from scratch with the new Linux.org - I figured we may as well resurrect this classic thread in the Desktop section..... Simply post a screenshot of your Desktop!

Here's my current desktop - dwm running on Debian testing, with a fairly vanilla conky config:
View attachment 4 NOTE: Normally I have the top-bar hidden - I don't like too many GUI things getting in the way and wasting valuable screen-space. I just made the top-bar visible for the screenshot, so you could see the whole thing.

As the floating heads in Rick and Morty said:
"Show me what you've got!"

The drummer looks familiar?

FwayaRD.png

The above is taken from my new install of Ubuntu 17.10 'Artful Aardvark', with the default DE.

Those of you Ubuntu fans will likely be aware that Mark (Shuttleworth) and his team are retiring the Unity DE after 6 years, defaulting back to GNOME. This is the beta that I am using.

The vanilla Conky defaults to the left, and rather than reposition that I worked it in with the monochrome look of the Kinasis video still I took. The GNOME dock I placed at the bottom from its default left, and realigned some stray icons to the right.

A null prize goes to he/she whom can identify all the icons in my dock.

Saturday morning my time, so I'll leave you with my customary

Avagudweegend, All ;) ... take it away, Jas :D

Shark Linux has a number of colourful wallpapers but a lot more going for it than just that.

Developed by Marcus Petit from France, he built it with The Cloud in mind, and says he did not touch a keyboard whilst building it, he did it all from his Samsung Galaxy phone?

Kudos to him

Now you see, there's something new ... I didn't know there was a LibreCAD, will have to look into it.

GParted is like an Amex card (to me) - don't leave home without it. Like the car, too:D

Thanks for sharing @Bayou Bengal ;)

I have played with LibreCAD some, and so far it I have found it to be a pretty good "FREE" replacement for AutoCAD. I don't do much drafting anymore, but it does allow me to modify electrical drawings for people, and then they can reopen and use them in AutoCAD.

This is Bluestar Linux ... it's Arch-based, like Manjaro, but I don't think so sensitive.

The Terminal Konsole, if it looks familiar, it is similar to that shown by MikeyD with his Arch at #13, page 1. Little weather widget tells my local Stanthorpe weather. Neat.

@Siskiyous - Nice one, Rick and thanks for sharing. Linux Mint with a MATE desktop environment, good call.

Love those polished wood floors, too. Welcome to linux.org :)

Here is one that any computer geek will love. It is one of my favorites from the Non Sequitur Comic strip. The gentleman who writes this is a Genius! Enjoy all.

Actually I prefer the Crystal ball method, over the Ouija Board method. :D:D

Happy Trails,
Paul
