No Sound issue personal solution

English alert. I warned you.

I had the missing sound on linux after an update before so
I believe sound has gone after a new update.

I checked audio options
I reinstalled audio drivers
and something else from basic list i tried last time and that worked

But then I plugged in audio from back PC connector to front one. And I got sound on linux.
Sound on windows gone though. And I switch the connectors when i need sound now.

I post this for collecting more information on missing sound issue.

In your terminal type pavucontrol and see if the rear is enabled and not muted.

I checked. It was on.
I played with options and 4.1 + volume enables the sound on rear but disables on front on my stereo headphones or stereo columns.

Weird...

Hopefully someone'll have another step you can take to figure this out.

You could run alsamixer in a terminal, hit the function key F5 to see all the configurable items and see if the volumes are what you want, and if not, adjust them. May or may not help.
