What is it? LOL it needs a security update.
The description
"This program provides the means to enroll and erase the machine owner keys (MOK) stored in the database of shim."

I installed it this morning

No adverse effect. (I recognise that shim is important...from previous experience)

I install all offerings in the update manager.

I also take a Timeshift snapshot each day. (just in case)

The only recent update to give slight drama was the most recent Kernel, 5.15.0-83 ....in which case I rolled back to the .82 kernel and chose to ignore future updates for the .83

It's a boot thing. It's all about that secure boot. I don't know much about it, but that's what it's for - as far as I know.
