News [Linuxiac] Thunderbird Pro Nears Launch With New Website and $9 Early Bird Plan

News

I like Thunderbird. I've used them for years. They remind me of Outlook Express, which was legitimately good software.

However, none of those mentioned features is worth $9 a month (to me). If it were $9 per year, I'd probably pay the money just to help support Thunderbird. As it is, when I get an update notification, that's when I tend to go donate at least a little money. I'd add $9 to what I periodically send in the first place.

I need not one of those features/services. Try as I might, I can't even justify the idea that I might need those services in the future. Sorry, Mozilla. The Princess is in another castle.

Who is the intended market? Which demographic needs these services?
