Solved Libre Office Writer Document 'Deadline' &Font Issue

Solved issue
I mostly use vim for editing files, I rarely have to edit a document that requires LibreOffice.
I switched from LibreOffice Writer to neovim for documentation at work recently. You can do more stuff in the terminal with text files such as use commands like grep to search through them and they are lighter and easier on cpu resources. I still use Writer for notes and maybe a journal I keep for highlighting and marking stuff up. I know you can probably do this in vim/neovim. I'm not there yet.

But....did you shave your legs ??!!
Oh, absolutely, mate. Along with wearing a short skirt & high heels!

What do YOU think?

Mike. :P

How is neovim different from vi or vim?

Alex, was the spreadsheet in Calc, or like a table in Writer?

If the former, I'll give you a tip.

Cheers

Chris
The spreadsheet was like a table in Writer.

When I have time I'll see if there is a manual within the program.
If not I'm sure I could find how others share on the net how to better use Libre Office.

@Alexzee :-

Alex, for Libre Office there's the online help pages, here:-

I tend to use the official, properly-built AppImages, since they're far simpler to build into the 'portable' version I put together for Puppy. These come in a variety of 'flavours':-

  • Basic - supports just English
  • Standard - supports a selection of the most widely-used languages world-wide
  • Full - this covers EVERY language supported by Libre Office

Then, you can choose each of the above in either 'Fresh' or 'Still'.

  • Fresh is the newest build, hot off the press
  • Still is the previous major release....which has a few more months of bug-fixing applied. This is the variant recommended for most people.

And all of these can be had in a 'cut-down' build OR with a full 'Help' manual built-in. Your choice.

You can remove the "solved" at the end and do this

I'm not an expert on either but I went with neovim because of this video (it answers your question as well):
Very helpful video MzQ1NjExN2!

On

Clicking on each cell and changing the font 50 plus times was not a good experience.

I asked

If it was in LO Calc, you can do as follows (this from a spreadsheet I keep on rainfall for planting purposes
