I posted a thread similar to this about a couple months ago.
During the boot process of Kali Linux. I get this error.
[ 0.215656] ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resolve symbol [\_SB.PCI0], AE_N
[ 0.215669] ACPI Error: AE_NOT_FOUND, During name lookup/catalog (20250807/psobject-220)

I think it has something to do with the BIOS having a symbol/character (as in a character on the key board) that is messing up the string of code during boot process.
I'm using Kali Linux for school. Kali Linux still boots up. Just need to fix this before it becomes a serious issue later on down the road.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I don't think it's that serious of a problem but like I said It could become a problem later on down the road.
I can still boot into Kali Linux, but sometimes it gets stuck on the error message and I have to reboot in order to get it to completely boot properly.

when I use nano to open etc/default/grub <---- says grub is not a directory. Only "grub" directory I have that's highlighted blue is grub.d and not to mention inside of that folder, The only thing there is, is a file called kali-themes.cfg also what is <br>
if I'm not mistaking that is an html element meant for creating a line break inside of the line of code. What's that have to do with GRUB unless it uses the same type of arguments???

I disabled Secure Boot automatically because sometimes I mess with my Operating systems. I don;t see fast boot inside of BIOS settings at all. Also UEFI mode is enabled. Not legacy, And my Kali Linux is always fully updated to the newest kernel and everything else.

@Bangkah, your answer is AI generated. if you are going to give an answer based on you ai findings, please state that clearly at the top of you reply.

AI is not always correct, and can cause greater problems than already exist

Honestly bro. Like I'm trying to get a legit answer from someone who uses Linux on a daily bases. I don't even know why someone would even use ChatGPT for anything at all, It is basically Sorcery and witch craft from the castle days lmao. I personally think ChatGPT was made to make already mentally lazy people even mentally lazier.

Unlike my case where I've already searched the Internet without using Robot Generated mumbo jumbo. I still cannot seem to find a really well solution as to fix the error my BIOS keeps spitting at me.

And that guy is also a new member so it's just weird that he comes on the website that starts posting Artificial Intelligence stuff.

I temporarily fixed it by modding grub file. But still. it should have been an easier fix.

those errors are often associated with Kernel update but only affect a few machines, often it can be fixed by rolling back to an earlier Kernel or running a snapshot from a date that you know it last worked.
