The esu's only extend to 2026
For normal people. Right now, they're saying it's good for up to three years for businesses.
If enough people pay for it, I wouldn't even be mildly surprised if they decided to extend it for regular users. If it's making them a serious amount of money, they may change their deadlines -- especially as they'll continue doing the work anyhow.
After all, they're already doing the work for business SKUs. Why not just include regular users in that?
I'm reminded of when they extended XP support. I'm sure some businesses paid for it but experienced users learned that there was a reg edit that they could do to get suppor for that same length of time. I have no idea if there's a 'reg hack' for this. I've not paid much attention to the Windows scene for a long time.
