The only other one I can think of, and I don't think it will work, is dpkg --purge

my other thought is trying my first list without the sudo

Assuming you have Linux Mint....

Click on menu, then type Synaptic Package Manager ....it will appear at the top of the list....press Enter

You will need to enter your password.

You will see similar to the pic below

Click on Edit

The click on Fix Broken Packages

A notice should appear in the bottom left hand corner of that same pic saying "Successfully Fixed Dependency Problems"

Then close that window, and run Update in the normal manner

Following the above procedure will fix the Libre Office package

then select it again and do the update.

open menu>Administration> synaptic package manager. Then go to the edit tab and click on fix broken and the hit apply.
What happens?

With Linux Mint Cinnamon...Synaptic Package Manager...Menu...Edit...Fix Broken Packages.

Just click Fix Broken Packages and you're done...it's that easy. :D
