How can I launch Firefox when there is internet connectivity ?

That is not what I asked, but I am mindful of your cognitive challenges.

It simply was attempting to learn whether you exercise a choice of closing down your browser before you suspend, or leave it open and still press your shortcut to suspend (in the latter case, my solution may generate a popup window with a non-fatal error in it, but the solution works regardless).

I will cover both options.

I am going to publish a Thread in which I detail the options I am using, and place it in our General Linux Questions subforum. Once published, I will return here and place a link to it where you can see it.

It will cover methods which will work not just under Ubuntu, but also Debian, Linux Mint, Arch-based distros such as Manjaro, and Red Hat based such as Fedora. I am just completing it in Fedora as I write. Many users may benefit from it.

I will deal with the Ubuntu side first and draw that to your attention, so that you may choose whether it may suit your purposes.

It may take me a couple of days to publish, as there are a few steps to outline, and illustrations to add.

Thanks

Wizard

Thanks Mr. Wizard.

That's nice. I don't work to deadlines, and it will be ready when it is ready. I have been working on the material today.

I see not much of good manners.

(Sorry, couldn't resist...)
