I installed fedora media writer yesterday and the fedore 43 iso but using fedora media writer on my usb drive it just said error in big, and underneath process crashed without a reason, then I reformatted the drive with disk partion management to then use rufus to burn the iso image on the drive, windows told me at the beginning of it can't find drive or something but rufus was still burning the image on the drive so I figured it was nothing, then I booted into bios and put my drive at the top of the boot list and saved and exited, after that it said faailed to boot from usb drive or something like that, so I then decided to delete evrything fedora/rufus reformat my drive and start again, this time though I disabled autoplay, disabled my surfshark antivirus and tried again with fedora media writer using automatic download so I don't have to check checksum but it still says the same error 30 seconds after it supposedly starts writing(even though the bar doesn't move), any help?

I can't think of much that could go wrong. But how are you formatting the drive before the burn, Rufus has been know to be problematic in burning some linux .iso's so would stay away from that I use Ventoy a lot and Etcher at other times Ventoy is nice since you don't actually burn the iso you just copy it to the drive and it boots.

Hello, I wanted to give an update regarding my fedora 43 experience, I have been on fedora 43 kde plasma for 2 days or so and have been customizing it, tuning it ecc, I have to say I'm really enjoying the experience, not just for the customization options but also for knowing I'm taking part is something that makes tech more free, private, secure and enjoyable for a grand total of 0 dollars, anyone can do it! It's also nice because every update increases functionality, performace and efficiency which means you actually look forward to updates, unlike windows or ios which you know will just slow down your machine so you buy a new one, I have only allocated 50 gb/1 tb to fedora but am sure I'll allocate more as I try games that now work and will whose compatibility will increase with time, and I'll very likely come back here for guidance and , once I get to learn a bit more, help someone else in their linux journey.

Fedora indeed is a good distro. I've used it on and off since the old Red Hat days before they split off fedora. It's normally solid and pretty stable. I'm using the Fedora 44 beta right now and waiting for final which has been pushed back to April 28th now.
But beta is working quite well for me. Enjoy the journey!
