*Hello , I checked Everything and i think everything works fine i don't know why i get this error! , Also i have no problem at booting to live and try the distros!

*All i know is that i used to install Linux distros easily on my Laptop! but for some unknown reason i get this error 5 I/O everytime i try to install a linux distro

*Distros i tried to install and failed with error 5 I/O :
- Lubuntu (20.04 LTS & 18.04)
- Linux Lite 5.0
- Kali Linux 2020.3

*I have a laptop ASUS X540SAA :

2 GB RAM
Intel (R) Celeron (R) CPU N3050 @ 1.60GHz 1.60GHz
Intel HD Graphics (128mb)
TOSHIBA MQ01ABF050 500.1 GB

i looked for solutions online and i tried these :
- checking my Disk , using DiskInfo and i think my Disk is "Good" as the screenshot shows
- checking the ISO files hashes and they all were good
- turning off "secure boot" and turning on "CSM" in BIOS

the only thing i haven't tried is changing the USB im using ... maybe that's the problem?

*Screenshot of DiskInfo showing that my Disk is in a Good status :

I did a bit of searching and came across an AskUbuntu question and one of the answers indicated that it turned out to actually be a RAM issue. Which can make sense, as you're not copying directly to the drive - it has to pass through the RAM first.

It's VERY unlikely to be the USB device, as you've now tried multiple *verified* OSes. You can try using an alternative, or even a DVD if your device supports that. It could be, but I'd test RAM first.

Edit: Wait... How are you writing the ISO to USB? Let's eliminate that.
