Is DuckDuckGo available for Linux? Right now I'm using Firefox with DuckDuckGo as the search engine. But I'd like to use DuckDuckGo as the browser as well.

Strangely, although I don't see an option to download it, I do see articles that seem to imply that it is.

Mike, in Firefox, take a look at Edit - Settings -Search

Whoops, my bad (should have gone to SpecSavers)

Thanks, Brian

While there is no Linux version of the DDG, they suggest using their privacy extension.

I have no experience with it. I just happened to bump into it recently. It's up to you to try it -- if that's what you'd like to do.

DDG also has a range of privacy enhancing areas etc

....also email protection, app tracking protection, etc etc....also a subscription service...
But....I believe they are all only available in the usa.

In concentrating on privacy etc, probably the better browser to use would be Librewolf.

It is available via the software manager in Linux mint 22.3 as a flatpak,....or see below....

click on Installation

Then on Debian based,

....where you will see three lines of code...Enter them one at a time

I used this install method. It installs a repository and updates flow from that easily and accurately

Mm. Of course, if you DO install it, you then have to ensure it doesn't conflict with any existing settings/extensions you may already have.......for tracker blocking, cookie protection, private search, email protection, etc., etc.

Frequently, adding extra extensions like this are often more trouble than they're worth.

(shrug...)

Mike. o_O

Maybe Mullvad Browser or Librefox suits you

They are both privacy focused Firefox Forks, just like Duckduckgo Browser

I am currently running Librewolf with the DDG extension as well as uBlock Origin & Canvas Blocker, without any nasty reactions.
